So a lawyer walks into a bar...
I can't sleep. I was tipsy enough at the bar--normally I'll go home and crash right away like that. But tonight was different. I got home, the dog had in fact peed on the floor and the kitten had made a mess of her kibble. It just got me wound up and now here I am still awake, even though I have work in a few hours.
It was an okay evening. The bar was for once, pleasant.
Except for Dresden, who is none too pleased to lord over me the fact that he overheard my entire conversation with Ileana about Bobby.
I met MCS's newest detective, Megan Wheeler. She seems friendly enough. Green seemed to be having a hard night of it. Then again, Caroline Parker doesn't make things easy for anyone. Whatever, as long as I don't have to deal with her.
Logan and I even managed to play nice.
Then Captain Ross came in as everyone was leaving. It ended up being him and me at the bar by ourselves for awhile...That was...well it was interesting. And then he sort of asked me out. And then tried to play it off like he didn't...That was...rather unexpected. I told him I was seeing someone. Luckily, he didn't inquire beyond that. I think it was awkward enough at that point.
I have got to stop excelling at the awkward.
Telling him he was too old probably wasn't the best way to go about that.
