Well, my day off consisted of...still working. But...at least it was...more restful working than usual?
Court seems to be moving slowly, or maybe it's just me. We're still on direct examination and will probably be there till mid-next week or so. Sometimes juries are really clear about who they support or what they believe. This jury's been tough to read. Big firms have guys they bring in, or even lawyers whose specialties are jury-picking or jury-reading. Us? We have the second-chair scrambling to take notes during voire dire and the first chair trying to calculate and weigh options against each other with hardly any time to do it. It's not like we're not used to it. It's tiresome, though, especially when it yields a jury like the one we've got, that seems like it could lean either way.
