Went out for drinks with Peluso and MacManus at the end of this week. Lawyers drinking together usually ends up in extreme amusement or extreme depression. I'd say last night was a mix of the two. There were a few tense moments when Brian and I got to discussing the Sanderson case but Colin made up for it by getting totally sloshed. We had some good laughs (and Brian and I now have potential blackmail photographs) from that.

Met Michael's family last weekend. I'd never been to that part of Long Island before. It was nice, and for the most part, so were they. To clarify - his brothers were both a little...intense...in their own special ways...but his parents were really down-to-earth, sweet people, particularly his mother. Also, I learned how to fish and actually caught one.

Like many other people, we'll be going to Yankee Stadium tomorrow for their last home game. Frankly, I'm only going because he has the season tickets - I could care less where the Yanks play...but I'll be the one getting sappy when they tear down Shea. I've had my tickets to the Mets' last game ever to be played at Shea (which is this coming Thursday) since they became available.
