A 20 mile run doesn't kill you if you do it enough.

So, I have been running with Jimmy for a week or two now, and he's pretty refreshing. Usually, we just run, and there isn't much room for talking because yes, I tend to lag behind a bit. I just don't like getting cramps, and I haven't even begged him to stop running, so I don't want to hear it, haha.

Saturday I finally got the chance to sit and have lunch with him and hold a conversation that went past, "Come on! Keep up! I'm not carrying you!"

He's a nice guy, and I can see why Liv would be married to him, he really wants to make her happy, and as her friend, that's all I can ask for. They are invited for dinner at my apaprtment anytime.

So, next week is the real deal. The NYC Marathon. I think I'm ready. I certainly wouldn't have been if it hadn't been for the 20 mile runs we've been doing. Besides, I don't want to finish first or anything like that, I just want to make it all the way through. I did last year... just pretty far in the back. I think we have a good chance of finishing comfortably in the middle. I love the timeing of the Marathon. It shouldn't be too hot, nor should it be freezing. Besides, he and I ran in that Noreaster the other day and we made it out just fine.

What was with the weather anyway? I was pretty sure the world was going to end. Whisper spent most of the time under my bed, despite my feeble attempts to get her under the covers with me.

Sunday? Yeah, that was a mixed day for me. I met Bobby for an early lunch in Midtown, showed him another one of my best-kept secret restaurants. I'm not exactly sure what makes me so comfortable around him. It's pretty easy going conversation, even though we were both completely preoccupied. We discussed State secrets, such as the fact that Our country is being run by a shaved, trained chimp, LOL.

There are also plans for Tuesday night. We are going ot go on an adventure of the Lower east side, a part of town neither one of us are terribly familiar with. I'll be wearing my safari hat, and Bobby will be in the flamingo glasses. What a pair we'll be. Tall as we both are, I'm sure we will stick out and look like total psychos, which I don't really mind. Somehow when we hang out, I don't mind looking silly. He's good people. Good company.

Actually, it was a decent day, until I completely crapped out on Olivia with the baby shopping. The whole week made me exhausted, and the fact that it was disgusting outside didn't help matters much, and I fell hard off the adrenaline rush of the week. After I got home, I took a second to sit on the couch and the next thing I knew, it was 11PM. At that point, I just decided to drag my lazy, lawyer ass to bed. Sorry, Liv.

Sleep is good.
