General Update (a real one)
Well. Had a good time last night, but have yet to receive pics (and I doubt he'll ever send them.)
Anyways, my best friend, rgraham914 is moving back into town on the first of July. :) I know it's hard for her to move back here but in a very selfish way I'm glad she's back. She moved away about 8 years ago and it will be nice for her to be back.
She's going to help me fill out job applications when she's here so I can finally find a job. The few times I've tried to find jobs I've not been hired - hell I haven't even gotten a call back! It's very true that it's easier to find a job when you have a job.
I did get hired at the temp agency of course, but my hours at school are preventing me from being able to do any work for them.
Rachel is helping me fill out job applications because she knows me and knows what kind of work I can handle AND she used to be a manager at Frederick's of Hollywood at Gwinnett Mall in Duluth, Ga, so she knows what retailers are looking for. Obviously I don't want to work retail for very long, but money is money and I need it.
I spent today with my family for Father's Day and had a good time. My cousins and I had some quality time, looking at the goofy pictures Cousin Dave and I took last night. :P
I'd like to be able to connect with my cousin Liz more. She's really cool. We're complete opposites (she's a sorority girl, I'm obviously nothing close to that), but she's a really sweet, awesome girl. And so gracious. I've always wanted to be closer to her, but have never known how to connect...I think I'm starting to figure it out more.
My mom and I had a good talk tonight. She helped me get my head straight about some things I've been on the fence about for awhile. I can't go into any more detail other than that other than to say that I feel much better now that I've talked to her about these things. They were personal and professional.
My priest's daughter is having a bridal shower this weekend and I'm helping my mom and her sister Katie put it together. Katie and I were really good friends for awhile until she moved to Atlanta...seems like all my friends move away. ;_; All my good girlfriends, at least. But now I will FINALLY have Rachel back! :D I'm happy.
