[Jay was still lost in thought, so he did not notice the three drunkards sneaking up behind him until two of them seized him roughly by the arms.
Jay let out a startled gasp as the drunkards dragged him to the center of the room. The third drunkard, presumably the leader of the group, stepped in front of the boy.]
"We're back...and we're going to make you pay. I hope you like black and blue, because you're going to be wearing it for a while."
[Jay only struggled lightheartedly in their grasp. He looked up innocently as the third drunkard rolled up one of his sleeves.
Of course, the boy only looked timid.
As the man's fist flew towards his face, Jay lifted his right leg, planting it firmly in the man's stomach, lifting himself up and flipping backwards, effectively breaking the drunkards' hold. He landed deftly on his feet and took a few steps backward, putting his hands in his pockets.
The drunkards grunted, somewhat startled that the boy had broken their hold so easily. Jay glared at them now as the leader stepped in front of the other two.]
"You think you're funny, don't you!? I'll show you what we do to punks like you!"
[Jay said nothing, but began to tap his foot. Despite this, he had no intention of actually fighting these men. Drunk or not, these men were civilians, and Jay wasn't about to risk ruining Ad Libitum's already shaky reputation by showing aggression towards them.
The drunken leader raised his fists, while Jay simply stood with his hands in his pockets. Suddenly, the man rushed forward, throwing a series of punches at the small boy. Jay dodged each and every punch easily, stepping backwards all the while. He eventually backed into the wall; as the man threw another forward punch, Jay quickly ducked and slipped past him. The man's fist crashed into the hard wall, sending a surge of pain through his arm. Jay faced the man again, backing up a few steps. His hands still remained in his pockets.]
"Arrgh!" [The man cried out, holding his fist as he writhed in pain.]
[Jay only pulled out one hand to stifle his giggle, and then restored it to his pocket.
The other two drunkards behind him nodded to each other before lunging at him simultaneously with a punch of their own. Without even looking back at them, Jay simply flipped backwards over them, landing on his feet behind them.]
"What is with this kid? He's not normal!"
[Jay flashed his devious smile. The drunkards attempted another punch, but Jay slipped in between them, now standing in the center of the room facing the leader. The man threw another series of punches; Jay stepped backwards as he dodged them, no different than before. However, one of the other drunkards grabbed an empty beer bottle from the table and smashed it on the boy's head. The other inn guests reacted with either a gasp or a scream. Then everything stopped.
The drunkards were stunned; normally a person would be knocked out when a glass bottle is shattered on their head. However, Jay's only reaction was a change in facial expression. His eyes widened with a combination of shock and anger. He turned around slowly to face the drunkard holding what was left of the beer bottle. The man began to tremble in shame as he dropped the bottle. All three of the drunkards began to realize that if the boy wasn't going to be knocked out with glass on the head, then they wouldn't be able to harm him at all.]
"S-s-sorry...."
[Jay narrowed his eyes as the drunkards began to leave the inn. Once they were gone, the boy let out an exasperated sigh.]
That was more boring than I had expected...
[But he could still feel the broken glass in his hair. He made his way back to the table where Arche and Cantabile were sitting, not bothering to look at either of them. He was curious about Cantabile's reaction, although he knew that she would not be impressed. Not that he was trying to impress the woman or anything...he only did what was necessary to defend himself, and of course, it did not require much effort.]
You would think they would at least hold back on a kid in front of other people....flying_terrorJuly 18 2009, 00:36:55 UTC
[Arche watched out of the corner of her eye while still conversing with Cantabile, slightly amused when the drunks thought they could beat Jay up when it was obvious that Jay was clearly stronger when he broke their hold on him.
Though, she was concerned when one of them managed to smash a bottle on his head. She was surprised that he was still standing from that hit. She kept an eye on him as he returned to the table.]
[Jay began to undo his hair bands, letting his long fine hair flow over his shoulders and behind his back. Bending over, he began to tousle his hair a bit, letting the glass pieces drop to the floor. He pulled a comb from his pocket and combed his hair slowly, making sure that he didn't leave any pieces. When he was finished, he sat next to Arche, gathering up his hair for the side ponytail again.]
I'm fine. I'm not too thrilled about having glass smashed on my head, though...
I believe I spy a bump upon your fair head.flying_terrorJuly 18 2009, 21:44:21 UTC
[Arche squeals slightly in her head when Jay let hair down in order to get rid of the the glass. He looked like a girl (a rather pretty one) though she figured she probably shouldn't mentioned that anything... at least until the cheese incident dies down. She looking at his head trying to see if he has any wounds and notice some shards he hadn't been able to get rid of despite the combing.]
I'll bet, there's still some shards let in your hair, want me to get them out for you?

[Jay was about to tie his hair in the side ponytail again when he heard Arche's remark. He let go of his hair, sweeping it behind his back before handing his comb to her. It was probably a good idea since unlike Jay, Arche can actually see his head.]
Re: I believe I spy a bump upon your fair head.flying_terrorJuly 18 2009, 22:58:52 UTC
[She took the comb from him and began combing the right side rhythmically, pausing every now and then to take out a tiny piece of stray shard. She made sure to comb carefully as she had no desire to inflict anymore pain to Jay's already tender head (I'm sure every female with long hair felt the pain of knots once upon of time) XD
Re: I believe I spy a bump upon your fair head.iknowjjJuly 18 2009, 23:09:27 UTC
[Jay's face slightly flickered with pain as he feared that the stray shards might be nicking at his scalp. There may have even been a crimson blush on his cheeks.]
Re: I believe I spy a bump upon your fair head.flying_terrorJuly 18 2009, 23:21:41 UTC
[Luckily for Jay Arche was preoccupied and missed his blushing state. She gave one last check on the right for any leftover shards before moving on to the left.]

Or perhaps the booze has dulled their senses...
[Jay closed his eyes, just now realizing that Cantabile was still right next to them. He would not say anything, but he did feel rather uncomfortable that this woman was no doubt watching his rather...intimate interaction with his "big sister." Yes, playing with other people's hair was considered "intimate" to him...which is why he particularly enjoyed fingering Asch's hair.]

[Cantabile shrugged at Jay's expression. A part of her wanted to stay just to spite him, but she had more pressing matters to attend to now. In any case, she had nothing else to say to Arche, and Jay had interrupted their conversation to shoo her away (then again, she had started the interruptions, so she would not think too much of it) leaving her to depart.]
Well, it looks like you two are busy with your public displays of affection, so I'll head out.
[With that, Cantabile slipped out and headed out the door. It was time to find a certain melodist.]
{Arche: Affection +1 (So far, not so bad. I can't say anything for certain yet, but I like what I see.) Jay: Affection -1 (I'm not impressed. From what I can tell, he's thinking far too highly of himself. Maybe I'll find him less annoying when he falls on his ass and realizes he's not the end-all, as he seems to think he is now.)
