What could've made Marta so hysterical this time? )
Colette didn't take long to make her way to the front of the guild headquarters. She saw Genis already there, and made her way over toward him as quickly as she could (it was a miracle that she hadn't tripped while she was in her hurry to get there).
Colette herself was fairly frantic over this, though. She wanted to get right down to business upon finding Genis, however ... well, once she actually saw him, she felt everything just spill over at once, the tears that were in her eyes back when she was with Marta suddenly welling up again.
"Genis, I'm so sorry! I found Marta at the tree, and I brought her back here to Blessenwood, got her a room at the Inn, and she knew me, but I didn't know her, and I tried to tell her about this world and she got really upset that I didn't know her and she just-- she just left! S-She just ... she just ran off ..."
For the second time that day, Colette had to wipe tears away on her sleeve.
"She was really upset ... I should have gone after her, but I didn't think she'd want to see me, so I came to you ... a-and I'm really sorry about all of this ..."

Genis gently leaned in and squeezed her hands. He still wasn't any taller than her - even if he grew about 3/8ths of an inch - and yet, part of him really wanted to apologize. It wasn't Colette's fault if they hadn't met. Part of him suspected that they'd just regenerated the World Tree in his time, so of course it'd make sense that they hadn't experienced the whole deal with Ratatosk.
"It's okay," He said after a moment, trying to offer her a reassuring smile. "It's not your fault, either. You don't know her, but Marta's become a good friend of ours - and she is kind of over-emotional, so it's definitely more her than you."
He paused, then turning towards the rest of town. "Where do you want to look first?"

"I-I just ... I don't know where she could have run off to. She could be anywhere in the city, she could be at the tree, she could have run out of the city ..." Colette didn't want to think of worst-case scenarios, but they were possibilities.

"I promise, it won't be hard to find her." He tapped his foot, then glancing at the rest of town. "Where were you guys when she jumped ship?"
Reply
"I was helping her get settled, and I started explaining what I knew about this world, and ..."
Colette could feel herself tearing up again.
"I'm really worried. We need to find her."

"She won't be at the Inn if that's the case," he said after a moment. "If she's town, she's safe... but maybe we should look in the forest, just in case."
With that, he gestured for Colette to follow him. "Come on. There's a lot of ground to cover."
[ooc | hmm... reply to Marta instead of me and we'll just continue from there?]
