='D I do feel lucky! puppet_guardian February 22 2011, 22:54:05 UTC
Fortunately for Jade, Anise was out and about exploring that day, making sure to stick close to the trail that had been worn into the earth. Taking her time as she wandered, the girl froze when she heard something or someone ahead of her. Placing a hand on Tokunaga, she quickly went to find out just who or what it was.

Of course seeing Jade there surprised her.

"Colonel? What are you doing here, I thought you went back to Ouin..."

Well, well, this was a pleasant surprise. Jade had last seen Anise not long ago, just before she returned to Daath. Hopefully, this meant that he was somewhere on the Padamiyan continent, despite that the plants along the game trail were clearly not native to Padamiya.

Hopefully.

"Ah, Anise. I didn't expect to see you again so soon. Have you been well?" he asked cheerily, as if nothing was wrong. "And if by Ouin you mean Grand Chokmah, I did. Unfortunately, it seems as though someone else might have made other travel plans for me."

He hadn't been expecting her? That was odd to say the least, he knew she had been staying in Blessenwood.

Then he said something that was off to say the least.

"I've been well Colonel, thank you for asking." She couldn't help but hesitate, wondering whether or not he was pulling her leg. Surely he wouldn't be that mean to her.

"Did you...happen to wake up by a giant tree?"

While making his way toward the tree, Asch had been forced to stop. Even before he spotted the two figures stopped along the trail, he had heard voices. The first one he heard, that of a young girl, didn't faze him. Last he saw her, she had been around Blessenwood doing weird things for the festival and his birthday. The response he heard, however, made him scowl, mostly because he anticipated some stupid remark as soon as he showed up. Shifting the sack hanging from his shoulder, he proceeded. The two looked like they were wrapped up in a conversation, but Asch couldn't have cared less. As soon as he caught sight of the two, he spoke up ( ... )
