Who: All Ad Libitum Members (and gatecrashers?) What: A guild meeting When: Midday after all events currently going Where: Blessenwood Guild Office Why: It's time to get organized! Status: Open
[With Kratos stating his preferences for Unicia, Mithos decided that it would be a good time to explain his position as a leader, and what he was looking for for his chapter in Wuldorwurth.]
Some of you don't know me, and those that do are probably wondering why I'm a leader. My name is Mithos, and back on my world, I was the leader of two organizations that operated on two worlds. Martel is my sister... I hope we can work together to save her.
Anyway, I have been appointed by Kratos as the leader of the Wuldorwurth Chapter. I need people who have experience with dealing with nobles. A military background would help, too.
[Mithos doubted that he could handle human nobles on his own, so it was a good idea to ask for someone who could.]I won't lie - the nobles are corrupt, and tend to disregard the poor. We're not here to be a charity. You can feel free to help the peasants, but our main goal is to earn the trust of the nobility and the royalty. They are the greatest military power on the continent, and they can offer a lot of intel
( ... )
[Kratos had appointed him? Tear was a little surprised, although it seemed that they might have known each other. The specs were ironic - Tear was not certain that she wished to travel to Wuldorwurth, but there was no denying that she possessed all of these qualities - experience with nobility, military training, and... patience.]
Do you believe that any of the less wealthy might possibly have information that we can use? It's been my experience in the past that not all members of nobility are truly aware of what goes on around them from day-to-day. Doing them favors may not necessarily yield the desired results.
I agree. Many nobles like to keep themselves sheltered in their fancy castles.
In any case, how do you expect these people to be able to gather intelligence on Goede? He has the ability to warp to any point in the world in an instant, so tracking him down would seem to be impossible.
I never said it was going to be easy. Wuldorwurth has a network of knights, who regularly report in to the city. At the very least, a good portion of this continent would be covered.
[This big breasted human girl seemed to have missed the point, so Mithos tried to make himself a bit more clear.]
We need more than intelligence. We don't know the true extent of Goede's power, or the power of the negativity. Military assistance would be a huge help, should he have an army of his own.
(OOC: You just had to throw that in there. dakdja... D:)I personally don't believe that this is the case, judging from what I've seen of the Negativity's effects on a human being. No one has mentioned Goede ever being accompanied by others, and from the reports that have been presented in regards to Goede, I understand that he may have been drawn here much like the rest of us, by one force or another - quite possibly the very same. If he had numbers at his disposal, I would have expected him to have made use of them by now
( ... )
What if the Negativity affected the monsters? We wouldn't be able to round up all of those affected by ourselves. We need to have our bases covered. Besides, the knights would be a huge help in keeping the tree safe with the majority of Ad Libitum spreading across the world.
Please listen to her. It's not a good idea to involve anyone else with Goede or the negativity if we can help it. If we're forced to take out a soldier who's infected, we would lose our favor with the military. And Ad Libitum's reputation is already shaky enough as it is. If you're going to have these soldiers help fight the monsters who are infected with negativity, you'd better make sure they have the special abilities like we do. Ordinary soldiers wouldn't stand a chance against those creatures. Even when the guild splits, there will still be some of us remaining in Blessenwood, so that should suffice in protecting the World Tree.
I'm not particularly under the belief that we should place limits on our numbers. I was only saying that the situation is complicated, and care should be taken when deciding upon the specific tasks we would request these soldiers to take on. Despite that, your mention of their lack of special abilities is a valid point.
[The rest is general opinion.]
Defense would be a good idea, however. The only problem with this is that most people on Atlas do not think well of the World Tree. I am not sure what their fears are grounded in, since Martel has not shown this world the slightest hint of ill will. My assumption is that they must believe she's connected with the monsters and other disasters somehow. If we could prove that this is not the case, then perhaps we could gain their cooperation for such things.
[Mithos blinked at her mention of Martel not showing ill will. Of course she wouldn't show any harmful intent! If these humans fear her, then it's their own bigotry... just like on Aselia. But regardless, he had to ask the following.]
Where do you intend to go? [He asked the girl this. He already knew where Jay was going.] You sound like you know what you're doing with human nobles.
I haven't decided yet. Rather than acting in haste, I thought it would be better to hear what everyone had to say in regards to the different Ad Libitum branches before making a decision.
[Human nobles? Oh, that was right - some of the guild members weren't human. They had wings, if she remembered correctly.]
Yes... I traveled in the company of several human nobles for nearly a year and a half. I also possess military training.
I have had the same thought, and I would like to help if I can.
However, with all due respect, I'd also like to keep my options open. I apologize for sounding rude, but I would rather not be tied down to one location in the event that one of my comrades should be in need of assistance.
I'm capable of teleporting myself and others, you know. If anything like that happened, I could take us to your friend in an instant... assuming I know where they are.
[Mithos would usually never offer something like this, but he would be willing to make a compromise for someone with Tear's talents. Besides, it was also in his best interests to make sure other people survive.]

[Mithos does have a point there, but it also raised another question within Jay's mind.
(Then why can't they do anything about it? What are we doing here?)

Alright... fine. But they would still be useful in policing the surrounding areas and gathering information.

Good. That's exactly what I need for Wuldorwurth.
