Genis knew who he was. He couldn't wrap his head around it; how did he know? Four days ago, they were playing on Altessa's floor. If Genis knew who he was, he was an amazing actor, better than Kratos was. It was truly baffling.
Mithos had flown over the city, headed for the tree again. He received many stares; and angel flying overhead wasn't an everyday sight, but he didn't care. He landed in front of the tree, muttering something under his breath, before raising his eyes towards the top of the tree. "Sis...? Can you hear me?" he asked quietly, placing his hand on the bark. He could feel her presence as strongly as he could when he was near her exsphere. The golden-haired seraph stroked the bark of the tree, as if it were his sister's cheek. "Sis?" he asked again, receiving no response.
Somehow, he knew Genis had told the truth. He could feel Martel within the tree, and she was very much alive; more so than when he held her exsphere. The fact that she was alive and wasn't talking to him was enough to hurt him, both physically and emotionally. She really was here... and she was alive. He no longer even needed the Chosen, he could see her and talk to her right here and now.
... But she wouldn't respond to him. "Sis..." he said quietly. For four thousand years he had worked to be able to talk to her again, and yet, it turned out that she brought him here. It was funny how ironic that was. But why wouldn't she acknowledge that he was here?
Mithos sat down on a root, looking up at the tree. If she'd just give him a sign that she knew he was here, he'd be happy.
