[Paneer beamed at Yuan's answer, obviously delighted with the task she'd been assigned. She had been worried that the guild wouldn't accept her... the banishment of those worries only cheered her up more.]

[Yuan gestured to the aforementioned desk to ensure she knew what was off-limits. As adorable and harmless looking as she was, Yuan didn't like to let people mess with his things. He turned back to Asch and Dist,]

[Well, Yuan's response was vague and hardly told him anything he hadn't already learned. What a pain. Dist was going to elegantly ask him for more details, but then that little pink thing butted in again.]

Hey...

[But no one was paying him any mind. Dist huffed impatiently and put a hand on his hip. Once the creature had fluttered away, Dist had again lost his train of thought, but he wasn't going to let that stop him from running his mouth off.]

Well! I, Dist the Rose, happen to be the most renowned expert in fonic technology in all of Auldrant! Naturally, I wouldn't be interested in joining your organization unless you could provide me with materials and a laboratory, at the very least. I don't think that's much to ask in exchange for my incredible talents! Otherwise, you're just a waste of my time!

As you can see, we don't have much to do with technology in Blessenwood. There are no materials here. If fonic technology is anything like magitechnology, though...

Don't make anything frivolous. We don't have the mana to spare. That being said, Ouin might have what you're looking for.

[After shuffling a bit, he produced a map and held it out to the whining man.]

"Magitechnology"...? Well, if it's based on mana, I suppose it might be similar... And I'll have you know that none of my machines are frivolous!

[Indeed, Dist only made completely necessary things, like giant death robots and flying chairs. Having cleared up that point, he peered at the map.]

Ouin... I see! Well, it must be better than this backwater place, at any rate.

Very well then. The guild master for Ouin is out right now, but you'll probably need a little time to get settled in the city before speaking with him anyway. Look for a Jade Curtiss once you get there. You're both from the same world, so he should be better qualified to evaluate your machines anyway.

[Finally, Yuan turned to Asch.]

Jade?! Jade is Ouin's guild leader?!

I won't have anything to do with a two-faced worm like him! Impossible! Such a loathsome, duplicitous man doesn't deserve the benefit of my phenomenal genius!

[Somewhat startled by Dist's sudden crazed outburst, Yuan frowned.]

I don't want to hear about your personal problems. If machines is the only thing you can do, you have to go to Ouin. If you have combat capabilities, we can take you here.

(Though I'm not entirely sure I want to do that. He seems unstable...)

[Asch opened his mouth, only to hear Dist's outburst about Jade. The redheaded knight had ever liked that irritating father of fomicry. However, he could not quite agree with Dist's reaction either. He huffed and stared at Yuan, ignoring Dist. For the sake of his sanity, he knew how to tune out the silver-haired God-General, especially when he heard the beginning of a rant.]

I came here to take on a quest, only to find him in here. [He gestured toward Dist with a slight tilt of the head.]

Unless he's hiding one of those robots, he's worthless in battle. His abilities are best suited for Ouin, but putting him together with Jade isn't productive.

I see. Well, there are plenty of quests on the board, feel free to take any of them.

[Looking at Dist one last time, he settled behind his desk. He might not have much love for Jade, but he certainly hoped that Dist didn't take a look at the quest board before leaving. It probably would not do well for the Colonel if Dist ran off to find him while he was possibly injured.]

(I should probably get him to leave.)

Go to Ouin or don't go, but we have nothing for you here.

[He gaped at Yuan's words. How terribly rude! And then he scowled at Asch when he gave his totally unasked for and unwanted input. It was kind of hard to argue with what he said, but couldn't he have worded in a way that made Dist seem more glamorous? There just wasn't any need for him to dirty his hands in combat, that was all.

When Yuan mentioned the board, Dist glanced at it, then turned back to Yuan.]

Fine! I can see that you don't have the ability to appreciate my unique talents! I'll just -

[Wait. Hold up. One of those quests had had a very familiar name on it, hadn't it? He turned back to the board and stared at the notice in question. Then he glanced back at Yuan and tried to act totally casual.]

...Hmph! I should never have bothered with oafs like you in the first place! What a waste of time!

[With that, he turned abruptly, threw open the door, and rushed away. Nothing suspicious about that behavior, right? Of course not.]

[Abruptly, a huge sneeze was heard from somewhere in the guild building.]

A-tishoo! A-tishoo!! Oh my-- A-TISHOO!!! Goodness me-- A-TISHOOOO!!!!

[A dust-covered creature fluttered from the hallway that led deeper into the guild building, each flap of its wings sending a little cloud of dust flying from it.]

Oh my goodness-- A-TISHOO!! Th-That's certainly quite a lot of dust! ATISHOO!!!

[Cringing slightly as Dist left, Yuan hoped that Jade wasn't terribly injured or anything. He began to organize the various notes left on his desk, assuming Asch would do as he pleased.]

Asch: 0 (It's good to see that he's recovered. We don't have that many fighters, so I hope he doesn't get himself injured again.

[Asch, having spotted a quest that struck his fancy, also made his own abrupt exit. However, unlike Dist, he felt no need to announce his departure. Shaking his head, he closed his eyes for a second in mild annoyance and closed the door behind him.]

Yuan: 0 (So, he's back. I only wonder where he went because it might have something to do with getting back to Auldrant.)
