Last week in January

I am hoping to keep this post short and sweet. Kind of like me...except for the whole 'sweet' part. So this week is promising to be a very busy one, just like the last. I know I am repeating myself but I wasn't expecting to be busy this semester at all. Actually I am swamped. The majority of the time it's something that I have taken on voluntarily, but I am busy none the less. Even this weekend was crazy, so much so that I haven't even managed to put my dishes in the dishwasher, which is extra weird for me. Even today I left home at 8 this morning and I won't be back until at least 11 tonight. Emily called me the other day and wanted to know when I could hang out. I said between 6 and 9 on Thursday. Seriously, that's not even stretching a little bit. I do have this weekend off however so I am going to visit Jon. I think we've scheduled it so that we'll be able to see eachother every two weeks which isn't half bad.
This weekend was fun. I actually went out with the girls for the first time in forever. I truley can't remember the last time I did that. I also got to cook a big sunday lunch with Macy and went to see campus lights. We are also using my idea for All Campus Sing which makes me really happy. It's going to be a Race Car kind of theme and I was thinking that Rihanna song, Mustang Sally, Little Red Corvette, Beach Boys, and Life is a Highway or something like that. It seems as if me and Sarah are the ones that care the most so we seem to be doing most of the work so far which is really no problem I guess. Have I menitoned that as of tomorrow I am also a volunteer for Big Brothers/ Big Sisters. I'm looking forward to that.
Speaking of little sisters, one more thing I just wanted to add. My sister (as in my real one) gave me the sweetest present that I've ever gotten last night. She gave me an antique ADPi pin for my last week as president. I was so sweet that I was in tears. It has a pearl boarder and sahpire which is my birth stone and it's in wonderful condition. It is the most beautiful pin ever. I can't believe that she did that. It was so thoughtful. : )
