After 3 months...

...of wanting to go ice skating I did it. I went by myself (all my friends hate ice skating) and I had a generally good time. That is despite the pain in my arches (for some unknown reason my arches always seem to hurt whenever I go ice skating. I suppose it has something to do with the way I walk).

I did fall over once though. Silly me wore a short sleeved shirt and when I fell flat on my face I smacked the ice with the palm of my hand and arm it really hurt (enough to break the skin and make me bleed and after an hour my hand still hurts).

Alright so I kinda lost my confidence after I fell but hey.. I was in pain!

I'm actually an okay skater. I could probably do a few rounds at a decent pace (if I had the right skates) and i'm capable of avoiding people and holding my balance (I can't do figure eights or turns that well though). I can just move my legs in such a manner that I don't need to lift them off the ice to move about (this was one nasty habit that used to annoy the hell out of one my friends when I went ice skating with her. She's partly blind and when ever she'd see my legs change direction she'd assume that we were turning ^_^ ).

I think my problem when skating was I didn't bring those things that I'm supposed to put in my shoes to help me walk properly. Because balance is different when you skate that probably contributed to the pain.

I'm freezing now and this is when i'm off the ice and have been for at least an hour. *rubs her ears*
