Deerfield

Me and Tammy went to the Deerfield fair yesterday. There were a couple of things that irritated me, mostly it was the attitude of the fair workers. Now, I don't have the best job in the world, or even a ... good, job, but I just don't see how working at the Deerfield Fair would give someone an ego of sorts, maybe thats not even the word, I don't know. But here's what made me mad, Tammy bought herself a smoothie kinda drink but the lady did not give Tammy a straw, so we asked a different vendor if he had any straws, he said he did, then after a minute long pause he said "For my soft drinks" I know straw prices have been often compared to the recently outrageous gas prices in that they have been skyrocketing, but I just think that fair vendor could have bit the bullet and taken the .003 cent loss. The other thing that made me realize how bitter fair folk are is this, after we bought the smoothie we were looking for an ATM and bathroom, but the lines to the bathroom would have had us waiting well into the midnight hours (they were long lines), so we decided to leave the fairgrounds and look for one of those portapotties(sp), well while walking around the outside we spotted one, one without a line, so we start to head towards it and two goofballs sitting there say "Can I help you???" with an attitude. I was upset at this because after 29 years I've come to think I could go to the bathroom without assistance. Then they let us know that is not a public bathroom kinda thing, why not just start off with that? Why ask if they can help? Pointless. They did however entertain me with their hillbillyness. Plus I wanted to punch them in their toothless grill. Ok, I'm done, that was my rant. Thank you.
