So, after my last entry I received some spirited response. People do read this crap! Who knew?
Sutton asked me about the hair band. Yes, I do still have it. No, I don't know when/where I got it. Yes, I do know why I have it. I have it because it reminds me of my times with Sutton, which isn't a bad thing. That's what each memento means to me, an object of the past that conjures up instant memories and emotions.
Sutton is in fact coming to Indianapolis this weekend which is exciting. I haven't seen her in so long and I've gotten into a good habit of talking to her almost every week, which is more than I can say for a lot of my other friends. It makes it even more interesting for me because the biggest paper of the year is due on Monday, the day after she leaves! I know, talk about pressure! But it should be a fun time.
This article was merely an attempt by me to see if Sutton does actually read this beyond spot-reading for her name. We'll see.
My first semester of graduate school is almost over and what a rush! I've read more and though more deeply about everything than I have every done before. I read an average of two books a week and sometimes more. I've enjoyed it though because it forces me to think and think hard about history. I look forward to next year. I haven't done too badly either. I might even pull off a low A in both classes, if the last papers are MAGIC.
I really don't have anything else. I'm sure that without danger of retaliation or discovery, I could write about women that preoccupy my daily thoughts but for know I'll keep my irrational emotions under wraps.
