The Glass-Steagall Act should never have been repealed (despite Mr.Volcker's opinion)

What the U.S. feds should do is demolish all the banks that are "too big to fail" by having them auction their components to get the cash they need, so they're no longer "too big." Then perhaps the buyers will run those smaller components more wisely.
