I can't believe what a blessing it has been for me to join the
summerwrite Writing Challenge this summer. I went and looked at my posting for the 4th of June, entitled "Boo-Boo Kitty" and I noticed that someone had made a comment. I clicked on it and immediately smiled because the comment was from a really sweet, new friend of mine that's in the
frckledfireflys with me--her name is:
anilinium.
I started reading the comment she made and tears quickly sprang to my eyes and I got a big lump in my throat. I couldn't believe what I was reading! This young girl, who I had known a little over a month, was lifting me up and supporting me better than friends that I had had for years! Here is what she wrote:
It's sad to hear that the pain has been atrocious for you, but you do a fantastic job of coping with the limitations it's put on you. ♥
Also? "...but I don't want to let down the girls on my team. I think I probably am somewhat of a disappointment to them and..." RUBBISH! You are far from a disappointment, more of an inspiration if I do say so myself. It's awesome to have someone like you on our team, and I'm sure the rest of the fireflys agree. You aren't letting anything hold you back from your dream, and that's incredible. ♥
God bless you, too, darling.
Isn't that amazing? Some people are special and are meant to receive the Lord's blessings both here and in heaven. She is one of those people. I'm honored to know her and awed that such a young girl would have such a tender heart. Very rare, indeed.
Here are some more word counts for my
summerwrite project:
My word count for 04 June 2008 is: 827
My word count for 05 June 2008 is: 792
Week Number Five (29 May through 04 Jun 2008) word count is: 2,482
My Grand Total Word Count To Date is: 19,926
Well, I guess that's enough for now. On a side note: we've had MAX (Dion's mother's doggie) for a little over two weeks now. (I knew it would be more than seven days when she asked about it!) It's very hard for me to take care of him, but I don't mind because I love Dion's mom so very much. If this is helping her, then I'm happy that there's something that I'm actually able to do to help. Besides, Dion is doing most of the work, anyway. He is so incredible. I sure do love him! Dion's mom is coming along great and we're so thankful to the Lord for that--Aunt Betsy went home and now Cheryl (my sister-in-law) is staying with her to help take care of her until she's back on her feet again.
Until next time,
God bless you!
