Locked to Staff (excluding those not in the Order). a_lycoctonum June 23 2007, 15:30:09 UTC
Until we make our move against Voldemort, I don't think we should do anything that might reveal that something was about to happen. Sending all the children home would likely be noticed by someone somewhere. They will be safer here, and we will be safer with no change to our current routines.

Should we tell the students the truth, absolutely, but not too soon. There is no need to worry or panic them with the knowledge of something they cannot change.

Having said that, I do think that if things do not go the way we wish...they should be returned to their families rather than be forced into some eternal hiding place.

Their families have entrusted us with their children believing that they are safer here with us than out there with them under current circumstances. I'm not sure that they would see things the same way if the world erupted into open warfare. I know that I would not if it were my children. Scattering them, allowing them to return to the families that love them would give at least some of them a greater chance to survive.

Locked to Severus

I'm willing to help move whatever you need.

How soon is too soon? The potion may be finished in a matter of a week and then we should be planning our attack. Are we to inform the students of our plans and then vanish, perhaps forever, immediately afterwards?

Any volunteers must be at the farm on Saturday morning. While a slight mishap with something potent would entertain me no end at the moment Protective garments should be worn.
