Locked to Severus.

I will be there at nine tomorrow with the items that you have requested.

As for Mrs.Lestrange, I understand how you must feel, Severus.
I am watching the situation very closely. As long as she poses no threat to our students or our security, I can delay people taking action. It will not be easy to explain this to the rest of the Order - her reputation is notorious. There will no doubt be some very pointed questions about my motives here. Let us not forget that there are people here whose parents she tortured or killed, their feelings on this matter should be taken into account as well.
Perhaps it should be pointed out to her that any malicious attempts to provoke or frighten the children will not be tolerated?

Locked to Staff, as above.

Severus has raised some very good points here. Should we send the children home?
Personally I feel that we have kept them safe here since Hogwarts was evacuated, and that to send them home now, right on the eve of battle, could be viewed as irresponsible of us. I am open to debate about this, however.
I agree with Severus about Kippenross, and also about carefully establishing our links with the outside world. It also makes sense to move all lessons to one site - which, with the exception of such lessons which cannot be moved, has very nearly been achieved.
We have made our community strong here, and the children have learned many survival skills. We are now, almost completely self sufficient. There are still areas which we can improve - the shortage of floo powder, for example, the supply of parchment and quills, certain food items and medical supplies. Given what we had to begin with, and the fact that none of us expected to make a home here for longer than a month, I think we can all be very proud of our achievements here.
Of course, over the next month or so, things may change drastically.

Should we tell the students what is happening? Absolutely. Albus Dumbledore would not have shielded them from the truth, and neither will I.
Who will remain with them when battle is joined? This is potentially problematic, I agree. However, we have plenty of older students who will not be expected to fight, who are quite capable of looking after the younger years. In addition, we have certain ex-students still with us who will not be fighting, but will be useful in other ways. They must all be told what is expected of them.

As for making use of Lucius' position, that is all very well, assuming he remains loyal to our cause after the war. I am sorry, Severus, but I am still not convinced that this will be the case.

I don't care about the sodding feelings of

I will try to speak with her. It's difficult.

The oath will still be in place, will it not? What will it gain him to keep Hogwarts from reforming? He surely cannot imagine that mockery of a school in London is actually teaching anyone anything? We need to know more. Did de Sauvigny reply to your letter?

How do we tell them? If we are to do it, it should be done soon.

Locked to Severus.

Yes, of course it is. So is dealing with students that she has upset, and relatives of her victims.
I do understand.

Locked to Staff.

I did not receive any reply from Mercer De Sauvigny. I have been a little concerned, he did seem genuine. Perhaps something has prevented him from replying to my letter?

We tell the students once the potion is complete. We should gather them into one place, and all of us should talk to them, each head of house in turn. We should be prepared to answer any questions that they might have.
