[Clapet groans, and wakes up. His hands immediately go to his face and the other places he was stabbed, to stem the non-existent bleeding. He doesn't even notice Donny's there.]

[Donny's been sitting in a chair next to Clapet for a while now, his feet propped up on the edge of the bed and a book in his lap. When his inmate finally stirs he closes the book and sits up, just quietly watching him for a little bit until he speaks.]

[Clapet grunts a little when he realises he's not bleeding and Donny's there, and flops back down,]

You brought me back. [He was still surprised every time this happened.]

[He was still putting his hand to his throat in some surprise,] Don't always expect people to keep their promises, Sergent.

I still don't count on it. [He's tired, even now he's just come around, and after making sure no lasting damage was done, he flops back onto the bed,]

[Donny nods and sits back,] Just wanted some confirmation that it was that and not something else.

[Clapet would nod, but that really, really hurts. Feels a little like his head's not holding it's own weight, so he doesn't,] It's the only reason I can think of.

[He pauses, grimaces, and adds,] It was that West bloke... the one who knows Billy.

[Part of him was running over something West had said, but he didn't really like thinking about it.]

I don't like anyone thinking they can damn well kill me. But if it was anyone... I guess he deserves his more than anyone else.

[Well, there's a point there, and Donny's glad Clapet can see it, but he knows his inmate's in no position to actually talk about the lessons he may or may not have learned.]

Yeah, well...[Donny gets to his feet and picks up his book.] I don't like anyone thinking they can kill you too. I'm gonna let you rest for now though, alright?
