Dear Abby, WVU OFFICIALLY SUCKS!

Apr 26, 2003 03:15

Dear Abby,
So get this...

tonight, I talked Chris into going to the lair to play a game of pool or go bowling, whichever was more easily accessed or free. So we ate dinner quick, I fancied myself up a bit and then we headed out with Lia in tow.

we got there and hauled the stroller along and went to the front main door to get in. we had to show ids...the girl there says, "Ohh no one under 17 is permitted..." Chris and I looked at eachother and laughed. And she goes, "no really...and points to a sign".

This is where Elizabeth Gerry lost it.

Furious and stunned, I turned out and walked out. Chris went back in to look for a supervisor.

There, he was told it was policy and no exeptions would be made. He was however given a number of Kenneth D. Gray, the VP of student affairs. There, he could be contacted and spoken to about our situation. We went home, I in tears and chris in a fit of rage.

We called Kenneth D Gray and no answer. No Machine. No one picking up. Nothing.

I notified Vana of this and asked her opinion, by now it was 11:30pm and we had just wasted an hour of our night. She told me we should go back and find out what the deal was.

We went back while chris stayed here.

We went to speak to the same guy chris spoke to, Jeremy. He said the same thing and he found out the number he gave to chris was wrong, he mistook a 6 for an 8 and thats why it couldnt be reached...honest mistake. He also said that they made the rule because college kids made complaints about high schoolers coming in and eating the up all night food. WELL THEN.... LIA DOES NOT EAT NACHOS NEVERTHELESS CRY!

Vana said that what they just did was discriminate against their own students and legally, according to our creed, Lia was allowed to be there. She is family and she is unable to be with a sitter due to breastfeeding and therefore allowed to be my "5th limb". Lawsuit is in order.

Then she said that if I talk to him and he says that he cant help me out, then I should ask for my fee for student activities to be waived. If I can't use it, why pay for it?? So I think I have some business to attend to. And yes, The DA will be getting a long letter from an angry mother/student. So will David Hardesty and other officials on campus. I will be able to enjoy a night out with my husband and daughter. And I will run over anyone with a tractor trailer to do it.

I am embarassed to call this school and town my home. I am even considering not going to the game tomorrow. If I'm not allowed to go to that, then this is all over for sure and I can take my money elsewhere to another school that allows family to interact with eachother.

Sincerely,
Peace out
