As I went to take my outdoor graduation photos at the Oliver Bridge, past Gary New Duluth, I was thinking about what autumn brings to mind in regards to taste. The banana yellows make me think of honey, and the oranges call forth the deep warmth of apple cider. The tastes of autumn are in a sense more bland than those of the summer, yet no less delightful. Summer reminds me of fruitfullness, and zest, and isn't so appealing as the calm consistency of the fall. When the house drops a degree each day, my ever cherished coffee is that much more appreciated- chill temps and hot liquid make for ideal body heat regulation. I'll get to hug Kirby next week, and her eyes will meet my eyes- yes please. Goodnight world.
