Like a virus, we're too contagious

I've been getting a little more involved in fandom stuff. You don't say! I basically realized how long it had been since I was actually active in a fandom, and decided to rectify it. (Right now, fandom=hallo thar SPN. If certain theories about my brain are true, this could be the worst special interest ever. :P) Also ONTD_P, though thankfully not involved in any actual wank.

Redid the journal style again. This one is a lot easier on my the eyes than all that teal. I try to keep it somewhat, er, Narn-colored because of G'Kar up there, but I also like darker colors... I think this is good, though, and Smooth Sailing is one of my favorite styles.

I don't believe I've posted this song, but it went up on the FuMP a while ago and I love it. Dracula's thoughts on Twilight! (it starts out, Ay ay these kids today!)

Also. What is with Bella's orgasm face there at the end.
I can't believe I noticed that.

Also, soda_and_capes interviewed me.

- Leave a comment saying "What's up?!" [That is kind of dumb. Just let me know if you want to do the meme.]
- I'll ask you five questions to satisfy my curiosity.
- Update your journal with the answers to your questions.
- Include this explanation and offer to ask other people questions.

1. If you could do absolutely anything career-wise, what would it be?

I would be a famous writer. I would do what my ex-teacher did and spend forever going around to cons and doing readings, except I would be less self-aggrandizing and more awesome in the vein of Naomi Novik. Not only would I publish SF/F novels, I would publish short-shorts (for money!) and poetry (...probably not for money. It is poetry, after all). Basically, I would like to support myself with my pen - or keyboard as the case may be.

Alternately, I will get my PhD/D.Phil (a girl can dream!) and go kick ass in the name of right.

2. What was your first fandom?

Oh man. Does the copious Revolutionary War RPF I wrote as a 7-9 year old count? No, seriously, Lord of the Rings. Back when we had dialup I spent all my (negligible) time online on TheOneRing.Net. I participated in actual arguments about whether or not Balrogs have wings, and watched religiously for set photos, and even found out that they had a section of this stuff called "fan fiction." I made my first online friends on the (sadly defunct) EmynArnen.Net and Parma Eruseen boards. Good times!

3. What's your favorite TV show ever?

Rumpole of the Bailey. No seriously. There's something about a crabby crime-solving barrister with a pathological desire to represent the defendant that makes me keep coming back. It's clever, it's exciting, the characters grow and develop over the course of the series, and you become quite attached to them. I am deeply sad when I am among such company where I cannot name-check Guthrey Featherstone, QC MP or Ms Liz Probert, or cannot make a Comrade Ballardsky joke. Which is pretty much everyone except kuzujuk. The whole series is on sale for $50 (O_o), and I'm seriously considering buying it for a Christmas/birthday present for myself. That's about half of what I've spent on BSG, at any rate.

4. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Alternately, where do you most want to travel?

Oh man. I want to live all over the English-speaking world and some places outside of it. The west coast (again) more specifically the north-west, England (or other parts of the UK), New Zealand (FireFox does not recognize this as a word O_o), parts of Canada, Germany, Japan, Australia (though only temporarily), Finland, Iceland. If I can only chose one (non US one), though, I think England, just because I feel like I could settle down there the easiest.

5. What's your most awesome outfit? (Pictures optional!)

Haha, I cann't scrape together my camera and charger at the same time, but. My four horsemen of the apocalypse sneakers, green skirt, studded belt, and Girlyman teeshirt.

OMG, someone next to me is eating curry with coconut milk over rice. Life is just not fair, guys.
