grimmy the wonder mutt
Grimmy is at home right now in the bathroom with his kennel. He still freaks out way too much when I close the kennel door, so I'm adjusting him to that small of a space slowly. Yesterday I think my other dogs staged a "jail break"... the bathroom door opens in and it wont latch but it sticks shut very well... no way Grimmy could have opened it. But when I got home he was chillin' in the living room with his partners in crime.
He came to auditions with me last night and was the official greeter at the door. I think he really helped alleviate some actor nerves. It's hard to be nervous when a puppy is sprawled out on the floor.
The housebreaking is moving forward, but it's hard. He understands that outside is the cue to potty. But sometimes I think he forgets that the house is not. Also, I figured out last night that he'll run to the screen door (usually propped open in the evenings so the other dogs can come and go), but he still can't go down the stairs. Thus there have been a couple of accidents on the front porch. I've just got to keep a close eye on him cuz he can pee like every 15 minutes if given the option. But he made it 6.5 hours last night in the bathroom without any accidents, so I know he can hold it a little while.
Wolfgang enjoys rough-housing with the pup. Sometimes it is hard to see where one black dog ends and the other begins! Even Pugsley got into the playing last night, but the puppy nipped her butt and it was all over... she's very sensitive about her back end and feet. And hopefully she can help teach him not to nip so much!
Now I just want to go home and play with the pups.
