Work
Well, I have my first paying job in LA. I film Tuesday for an internet series. I'm pretty excited about it. I have new headshots that I'm actually going to have printed so I can submit to an agency who's contacted me through LACasting. So, that's what's up there.
Haven't posted much about improv b/c I haven't done it. The day I needed to do a make up class b/c I was in AZ was the day I started getting really sick. Then they were closed for Thanksgiving. So, Wednesday was the first time I'd done anything in three weeks. It was evaluations, and it sucked. Bertrando gave each of us stuff to work on, so everyone was in their heads. I had a scene with this guy Mike and it could have gone really well, had I actually done something. It was horrible. I didn't make any choices. I was thinking about all the different notes and it was stagnant. At one point, Mike--playing my grandfather--told me to get a job. If I had reacted emotionally, it would have been great. But I didn't. Bleckh. Oh, also, I really wanted to do a scene with Rio b/c she came to class wasted, but it never happened. That would have been fun.
I feel out of practice. Everyone is so busy with holiday stuff that it's going to be hard to get a rehearsal group together before January. But, man, this needs to happen more than once a week. Neville, come January, it's on!!!
