what I did over the weekend
I had some post-worthy stuff happen over the weekend. Saturday, I got to to pick apples at a you-pick place that I went to with Ignite. My group had gotten the hayride and we went to see the animals first. They had pigs, goats, and a rabbit in a fence. Then we picked our apples, and I ate one right off the tree. It was a good apple too. I need to figure out if I want to cook those apples or just eat them.
On Sunday, Mom had her triathalon. I watched from a place where I could see the bikes leave and come back, and I could also see the runners leave. I didn't get to see the swimming part at the beginning, but I saw mom before she went in. Then dad and I staked out space to watch the bikes and runners. She looked bad after the swim, but looked better at the end of the bike section. We moved to watch her run on the street, and then we met her at the finish line. They had a bunch of giveaways, and then we watched awards. I helped her print the results that afternoon.
I had a bad diet day on Sunday. I had a chocolate-cream filled donut for breakfast and pizza for lunch. After Mom's nap, we took a short stroll on the greenway and then we got frozen yogurt.
I went to meet a friend I hadn't seen in a couple years yesterday. Mom and I met her and her mom at a Wendy's that was in between where I live and where she lives. We got talking, and I want to invite this friend over on her birthday next spring and go to Bounce U. I've been there, and she wants to go. We had been in an autism group together.
I also showed of Nigel's and Nadia's pictures at the raptor center. I need to get pictures of videos of them preening each other. It's so cute. Nigel is so much bigger than Nadia that he has to bend down for her to preen him. They have been quiet today, but the weather is nasty right now.
