Busy and burned out
I've been too tired to post lately. Between the fast I'm doing and that time of month, I'm exhausted. I will make it until Saturday.
I started two new things yesterday. In the morning was a new Bible study on the book of Daniel. There are lots of people in the class, and there is tons of information in the DVD. I was totally wiped out at the end of class, I think because of the crowd. A lot of the women like to gab, and they don't always control their volume. They also take a long time to shut up when it is time to be quiet. That's the problem with being primarily focused on learning, you have to put up with people who would rather socialize than learn.
The new community center for Aspies, Ignite, started last night. It was TV night. The first thing we watched was Big Bang Theory. Sheldon may be a jerk, a pain in the butt, and have no common sense, but at least he's not a perv like his roommate and his friends, all of whom don't have much in the common sense department either. I don't need to see a closeup of Penny's cleavage on the spy camera thank you, because I'm not a guy or a perv. As much as I don't like Sheldon, I must with great shame say I can relate to him.
The next TV show we watched was an anime that I hadn't heard of, and I walked out in the middle of. Some animes are better than others, just like some other shows are better then others. I was just bored of TV in general, so I went in the other room, and talked with one of the other Aspies, and one of the staff until we were done. I think Ignite will be better once they get some of the clubs going. If there is a cooking club, I am so going to that. I know at least one of the others is interested in birds. I also told the staff that if they ever wanted to take a group to CRC, I would be willing to give an informal tour.
