It never seems to fail, whenever you want to do something for somebody, they always seem to kick you in the ass, I like to work overtime sometimes for people who treat you right, but when someone who likes to have fun with you and turns around and dumps horseshit on you, they have the last laugh and that pisses me off to no end....but anyway that was Friday night and Saturday afternoon. I hate talking about my job cause it just frustrates me to no end.
Like Friday i worked 12 hour shift and did not get home until 9pm that night, not before getting up at 5am that morning. I was so tired when i got home, all's i did was walk my dog, take shower and went to bed, and yes no bricktop , i had no strength to go that night, which i understood Slick Cell advanced and Jer advanced on thursday.
But Last night at The bricktop, DJ Loco started the night off with Hip Hop and old school flavor, I didn't really seem to care at first, but listening to him really got my attention for some reason, he puts some added spices to his mixes and thats his signature style. Then Hard House Ground hit the decks, and me thinking that here his another guy playing some slamming hard house (aka Matte), but no i looked up in the booth and i swear and declare that it was Kali, but i kept listening and said to my self, this does not sound like here one bit, cause you know she spins breaks. I was in shook and in disbelief to hear a female spin some slammin hard house and hard trance. It just blew me away, to top all off and yes she had some train wrecks. I come to find later on that this was her first time doing something like this and wants to do tag team effort on our parts. Yes she needs some work on her mixing techniques, but will come in time....but anyhow, also that night Peterman, ran his Drum & Bass set, and that to me was preety good, he did get some crowd approval, but deep in my heart i was rooting for the underdog, Hard House Ground aka Bobbi, but like everyone says there will always be a next time, but she does have some potential though.
DJ Loco on the other hand won the overall night, mixing old school and new school together and that to me is step in the other direction.
....As far as today goes, just gotta recover a little bit, but everything should be all right, but going out with my grandson who is 19 months now looking more like me and stating to act like me. It just blows me away...
Peace
