Going to Europe, schwhat?
On my drive home with my Padre yesterday I mentioned I'd like to do something for my Winter Break, because I love everyone in the burgh. But I need somewhere else to go, and then I thought about other times when I said I wanted to go to Europe, or something. My reasoning is this; I've already been to Asia, and South America the next logical step is infact, Europe. Now going to Europe isn't very cheap, but am I in luck! First off, I just got all of my Ben & Jerry's checks so that means I have an extra $250ish right now. Seems like a possible ticket cost if I pick my dates right.
Now where to go in Europe? For musical reasons if I could aim to see some bands in their home country, and I am pretty tight night with Cell Out, I wouldn't mind meeting them, grab an interview and such. I'd also like to check out some of the ancient churchs, and just goto a few art museums.
After looking at a few band websites for tour dates, it looks a little dry because they have up to early decemeber, while I'd be leaving the third week in december or earlier. Sonata Arctica's tour is ending before I leave, their last show is actually on my birthday. How unfortunate for me. Opeth has a gig the 16th, and 22nd of Decemeber in Germany. The 22nd looks more acurate, so Germany seems like where I'll land. I'm not too sad about Sonata Arctica because they are hitting Rochester January 14th, so that'll be awesome. My incentive is not only to go to these shows, but to contact them in advance that I'm a Radio DJ and getting interviews.
Now for the final problem, I'll need to find a someone to go with me. I am a bit quiet, but thats no need to travel alone. So if anyone is interested, preferably a cute girl, get in touch with me.
