I am back in Auburn after a brief stay at the lake and then some family time at the beach. I saw Brian get married over the weekend. Very beautiful, very wierd to watch a roommate get married.

I start work as a technician in ICU today. I am hoping it goes well and I can gradually learn everything without getting overwhelmed. I will make twice as much money working there than in surgery, but it will be a lot harder. I will still be working some in surgery to pick up as many hours as possible.

My two classes start on Tuesday. World Lit I and II at Southern Union. I told Ben about it a couple weeks ago and he has apparently signed up for the same classes. We can save some gas money by carpooling together. The class times are back to back and start at 8:00 AM, so we won't get done until I think 12:15. Tuesday/Thursday.

My grades were good. I wanted an A in physics II, but will settle for a B for the amount of work I did. I had As in everything else, except for my vetmed research which got switched to pass/fail instead of regular gradescale. So that grade was an S. Apparently, Dr. Heatley is not trusted to dole out real letter grades in any of her classes. Maybe if we had actually done something productive for research we could have gotten real grades. I was hoping to get an easy A to boost the GPA a little more.

Sophie did great while I was gone. Liz took care of her for me. The geckos got fed last night and the snakes ate pinkies this morning. Kafka is sneezing some this morning and is exhausted from going home with me. He never sleeps, because he wants to play nonstop with Solo and Daisy.

I got allergy tested yesterday morning before coming back to Auburn. I received a total of 74 shots. 57 in my right arm and another 17 on my left. I also had my face x-rayed. And I found I don't have asthma. What is wrong with me then? I am severely allergic to grass pollen, dust mites, one mold, 3-4 trees, most weeds, and I think that is all. But what is happening is that the allergic irritants make me hypersensitive to nonallergic irritants like strong smells or dust. This leaves my sinuses inflamed all the time even when I am on normal allergy medications. I did learn that I am not allergic to dogs, cats, or feathers. I never thought I was, but they tested anyway.

Kim started work in surgery yesterday. I think I am going to go in today just to see her and get her opinion of the other people there. (I work with a bunch of moody gossiping ladies.) Hopefully, having someone I like there will make it much more bearable on the bad days when they are busy.

Monday I spent the day working at David Nasser's house/office. I painted the front door and part of the spiral staircase. I also hung a sign and counted some inventory. It was a busy day, but I got paid well. David is a really cool Iranian. And his son Rudy is hilarious.

"Peace out dude" -Rudy Nasser (make a peace sign, hold it sideways, and hit against chest when you say it)
