So I had the great pleasure of seeing Limitless tonight and I was blown away. Going in I just expected to enjoy seeing Bradley Cooper on the screen for 105 minutes but the movie hooked me right away.
There were a few slow parts IMO but maybe it was supposed to be that way so we moved with Eddie as he discovered the drug and what it could do. Bradley Cooper OWNED this part. He was perfect as the suave, slick, Eddie who ruled wall street and could remember everything he's ever seen, felt, read, learned. He was even charming as the lazy, unmotivated, loser Eddie. It's funny that the image of a drug addict would fit Eddie when he was perfectly sober and not in a brand new tailor made suit.
Robert De Niro was great as a partner and adversary to Eddie. However I still cannot look at him and think of who's in his circle of trust.
There were a few plot holes but honestly, when sitting in the theatre, I was just enjoying the ride.
I'm so happy that this was a success and shows Bradley Cooper can be a leading man.
And his eyes!!! asdfhkjl;
The ending did seem kind of abrupt to me since I could have sat there forever. I know what I thought at the end and my own suspicions on what was truth and what was fiction but I would love to know what all of you thought about it.
