everytime i go to new york city i come home depressed and want to quit my job and immerse myself in something completely new. if things keep going the way they are i might just do that. i know i threaten all the time, but i think i'm just over the whole abercrombie lifestyle bullshit. it's time for a change...i'm just tired of retail...
i felt like a kid again when i saw mary poppins in new york. it was so...magical. yeah. i guess that's the word for it. i didn't care about anything else in the world except for the events taking place on that stage at that time. I MEAN HE FUCKING TAP DANCED ON THE CIELING! and she FLEW over the audience...awesome...
jersey boys was amazing too. i never really realized how much i enjoyed their (the four seasons) music until i saw it this past sunday. incredible talent in that show. i always wondered why he won the tony award for his performance...but now i know. very well put together performance. he was so close to getting a standing ovation from our audience...people were on the edge of their seats...really...
cynthia nyxon is now one of my new favorite actors. everything she is in i will make an attempt to see from now on. the prime of miss jean brodie is and was spectacular.
les miserables was cool. i'm glad i finally was able to see it done professionally. i don't think one can see that show done any other way...
a chorus line was dissapointing. good, but dissapointing. i guess i just built it up too much...don't you hate when you do that? build something up, and get excited about it for so long and then you end up dissapointing yourself in the end. oh well, it'll run for a while i'm sure...but it just felt like it was lacking something.
my name is rachel corrie was interesting. i would have gotten into it more had i not been so exhausted. i seriously was struggling to stay awake because i was so tired. it was very well done and performed, i just was not in the right state of mind for it.
the radio city music hall is GINORMOUS. that's the only way i can describe it. the rockettes got me in the christmas spirit...even though i was already in it. all it takes is a muppet christmas carol and i'm set.
oh...company was awesome. better than when i saw it when it premiered in cincinatti. i actually felt like raul fit the character of bobby very well this time. where as originally i felt he was one of the weaker actors in the show...
I WENT ICE SKATING AT ROCKAFELLER CENTER! so touristy, but whatever. i enjoyed it...and i normally DESPISE ice skating.
i got drunk at an irish pub.
i saw the bodies exhibit. it was awesome. although the lighting was a bit dramatic at times, it was amazing that they could achieve what they did with that exhibit.
i had fun with liz. she's probably the only person who i can go to new york city with and not worry about anything with. she's my favorite going to new york friend...and i don't have a lot of those kind of friends...
thanksgiving is thursday. i cannot WAIT to stuff my face full of food, pass out, go to the movies, then pass out again, then have to get up for that fucking hellhole i work at known as abercrombie and fitch...
anyone wnat to go to new york in june?
