I will never find another lover sweeter than you
Sweeter than you
And I will never find another lover more precious than you
More precious than you
Girl you are
Roger was out of town and Kurt was busy with his music so both Serpens and Alethe were bored as they sat around the main room of Serpens’ home. They sat curled up together on the couch; Alethe was working on things for the Ministry while Serpens was reading one of her romance novels.
With a smirk on her lips Serpens moved Alethe’s ministry papers and showed her one of the steamier parts of the book. Alethe rolled her eyes slightly, kissing her sister on the forehead before going back to looking over her work papers. Serpens sighed, trying to think of a way to get Alethe’s attention. She snuggled closer to the older girl with a content sigh, which caused Alethe to smile and put her papers away.
Close to me you're like my mother
Close to me you're like my father
Close to me you're like my sister
Close to me you're like my brother
You are the only one my everything and for you this song I sing
“You’re being more affectionate than normal.” Alethe said with a slight smirk as she wrapped her arms around Serpens, hugging the smaller girl closer to her.
“No I’m not, I’m always like this.” Serpens replied with a grin as she nuzzled Alethe’s neck, sighing happily once more. “You should come over and stay over more often. Just, next time leave your work at home.”
Alethe chuckled softly, kissing Serpens’ cheek and then nipped it softly. “So why did you want me over? Just so you wouldn’t have to be alone in the large house full of kids and cats?”
“Because I miss my sister and I love her.” Serpens retorted with a sly smirk, leaning up and kissing Alethe softly.
And all my life
I've prayed for someone like you
And I thank God that I, that I finally found you
All my life
I've prayed for someone like you
And I hope that you feel the same way too
Yes, I pray that you do love me too
Alethe wrapped her arms tighter around the blonde’s waist as Serpens ran her fingers through Alethe’s hair, tangling her fingers in the ends of the raven coloured locks. Alethe smiled against the girl’s soft lips pressed against her own as they kissed and cuddled on the couch. The work and romance novel lay forgotten for the moment as they held each other close.
I said you're all that I'm thinkin' of...baby
“Are you going to spend the night?” Serpens asked with a cute pout on her lips as she nuzzled Alethe’s neck. She nipped softly at the pale skin, brushing the hair away with one hand while the other trailed along Alethe’s jaw line.
Alethe nipped at Serpens’ fingers as they came close to her mouth. “I don’t know if Kurt would like me leaving him alone for the night.” She ran her fingers through the blonde’s lose curls as he held her to her. A smile played on her lips as she kissed Serpens wherever she could.
Said, I promise to never fall in love with a stranger
You're all I'm thinkin' of, I praise the Lord above
For sending me your love, I cherish every hug
I really love you
A few moments later both girls were upstairs in the home’s master bedroom. Serpens once again had her romance novel and was reading it while Alethe was working on the papers she had brought with her. “Do you read that every night before going to bed?”
“No, not usually. I don’t really need to read these books, my sex life’s much better than these things anyway.” Serpens said with a smirk, glancing at Alethe over the rims of her glasses.
Alethe rolled her eyes as she turned back to her work. “The only bad thing about being Minister is the damn budgets. I’ve been looking at them for a week now and I don’t know what to do with them.” She sighed rubbing her temples with her forefingers.
Serpens placed her book down as she got up from her bed and walked over to her sister. She leaned over her shoulder and took the quill into her hand. “Just move this here, and then add a bit there and…there.” She smiled as she handed Alethe back the quill.
Alethe looked over the figures for a moment then smiled. “Why didn’t I show these to you the first day?” Serpens merely shrugged and went back over to the bed.
And all my life (baby, baby) I've prayed for someone like you,
And I thank God that I, that I finally found you, baby
All my life I've prayed for someone like you
And I hope that you feel the same way too
Yes, I pray that you do love me too
Alethe walked over to the large bed wearing her black nightgown while Serpens lay in the bed already. She was clothed in a green gown that was similar in style to Alethe’s. With a smirk Alethe slipped into bed next to Serpens, smiling when the smaller girl curled up close to her.
Serpens smiled at Alethe, kissing her softly, nipping lightly at her lips in a sort of goodnight kiss all her own. “Thank you for staying with me.” She whispered softly, snuggling up to Alethe as she readied for sleep.
“Anytime Serpens, anytime.”
You're all that I ever known
When you smile, on my face, all I see is a glow
You turned my life around
You picked me up when I was down
You're all that I ever known
When you smile on your face all I see is a glow
You picked me up when I was down
You're all that I ever known
When you smile on your face all I see is a glow
You picked me up when I was down
And I hope that you feel the same way too
Yes I pray that you do love me too
The next morning both girls sat in the kitchen; Serpens was leaned up against Alethe while she drank her morning coffee. “Thanks again for staying the night.” Serpens said with a smile, kissing the older girl’s cheek.
Alethe smiled at her and then kissed her forehead. “We should have sleep-overs move often. Maybe next time you can come over to my place.”
“Does Kurt ever go out of town?”
“No, but that shouldn’t stop you.” She took a sip of her coffee, glancing over at her sister.
“Sure. Tonight then.”
“Wear the silver gown, you look terribly cute in it.”
