CoCo Sleep Talk

Jun 24, 2007 23:52

I started writing this in class, to keep me awake, and to keep my mind away from ideas of killing the education majors. I shared the beginning with fate_envies_us when we met in Fort Worth, and she said I had to finish it. And so after a few more classes it's finished - just been waiting to type it up, until tonight.

Title: Sleep Talk
Author: acquiescence_
Disclaimer: I don't own any of this
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Colin is having trouble sleeping
Word Count: 1410
A/N: And thus this fic is dedicated to fate_envies_us for telling me I had to finish it, and sparkysparky because without her we never would have had CoCo.
A/N 2: This is mostly just silly, because my Colin is sometimes jealous

Colin sighed pushing the hair from his eyes; he couldn't sleep - he'd been having trouble sleeping for the past few weeks. He'd wake up a few times each night, before rolling over and drifting off again.

Tonight, though, he couldn't find that place again - he just wasn't drifting off, like he had been. He rolled on to his side, his eyes roaming over the sleeping form beside him.

Colin watched Cormac’s chest rise and fall slowly, with his steady breathing. Colin envied him; Cormac never seemed to have any trouble falling asleep, almost as soon as his head hit the pillow - unless, of course, Colin was doing something to keep his attentions.

He moved closer, pressing himself against Cormac's slide as he slept on. Colin draped an arm across Cormac's chest, and nuzzled up against his neck, letting his lips press against the warm skin softly.

Cormac stirred and breathed slowly as Colin continued kissing him. Colin wrapped a leg around Cormac's. He loved sleeping with the larger man; his large frame filled their bed so nicely, and Colin loved wrapping himself up against Cormac in the night. Cormac stirred against, groaning in his sleep.

"Whazzat... gonna be there in five minutes."

Colin grinned as Cormac began to mumble in his sleep - he didn't do this very often, and Colin always loved having short conversations with him while he was asleep. It almost always gave him something to tease Cormac about for days afterwards.

"Going to be there long?" Colin asked in a whisper.

"Till we get 'em."

"Who do you have to get?" Colin asked with a smile.

"Chocolate frogs ... 'n Seamus."

Colin frowned "Seamus?"

Cormac didn't respond, he just snored softly, his chest rising and falling slowly. Colin knew it was silly to feel upset about this; Cormac was asleep, he didn't know what he was saying. But for all the time Cormac and Seamus spent together Colin couldn't help but feel a bit hurt that Seamus even got to share Cormac's dreams.

This was the problem with shutting one's self off from the rest of the world, when your boyfriend is Mister Personality. Maybe he should get out more, find his own best friend - aside from Romilda. Though, Colin knew what Cormac's reaction to that would be, and that just make the whole situation so much worse.

Colin sighed and jabbed his fingers into Cormac's side in a childish fit before he turned onto his side, his back towards Cormac.

"Nnn.. whazza matter?" Cormac groaned, rubbing his side, a bit more awake now.

Colin didn't answer, pretending to be asleep. Cormac rolled onto his side, wrapping an arm around Colin's middle, pulling him against his chest and nuzzling against his neck.

"You awake, love?" He murmured against his neck, his voice thick with sleep.

"What were you dreaming about?" Colin asked softly.

"Hmm..." Cormac breathed. "I dunno, remember kissing," he moved his hand to Colin's hip pulling him back against him further, "and chocolate."

Colin did his best not to press back against Cormac. "Who did you kiss?"

Cormac growled softly into Colin's ear "Dunno." He rocked his hips against Colin's arse.

"Was it Seamus?"

Cormac's hips stopped moving and Colin felt Cormac sigh against his neck. Colin wasn't sure why he was jealous of Cormac's friendship with Seamus. It wasn't as though anything had ever really happened between them, and Seamus seemed as far from interested as one could get.

It probably didn't help that Colin was almost always waiting for Cormac to wise up and realize the truth about him - he was clingy, emotional, and down right crazy. He rolled out of Cormac's grasp and turned to face him.

"You were saying his name, something about chocolate frogs and Seamus."

"Did I?"

"Yeah, you did."

"Well it has been a while since I've had any chocolate frogs," Cormac joked with a small smirk. Colin frowned, and Cormac's smirk faded.

"I don't even remember what the dream was about, and you know I've never done anything and never will do anything with him."

"Do you want to?"

"What?" Cormac was much more awake now, and he stretched out beside Colin.

"Do you want to?" Colin asked slowly.

"Why would you ask that? Do you want me to say yes?" Cormac had propped himself up on his elbow, looking down at Colin in the dark.

Colin sighed, "You know I don't."

"Then why bother asking?"

"I need to know - that's why. I need to know if you prefer him, if you want him. To keep myself from looking like an arse later."

"A bit late for that."

Colin rolled onto his back and started up at the ceiling, breathing slowly. He knew he was just being stupid about this but he couldn't seem to stop the surge of jealousy he felt. He even knew Seamus was not interested in Cormac, that nothing would ever happen between them. It was just plain, down right stupid.

Cormac huffed, a bit frustrated at being awake, and now having to deal with one of Colin's flights of self-doubt. He moved so he could look down at Colin again, his eyes passing over Colin's face - though he was refusing to look at him now. Cormac growled. It was bad enough being awake, but Colin's pouting was putting him in a bad mood. He pulled Colin closer and lay himself on top of him.

"Now if this was important enough for you to wake me up, then we are going to talk about this, now."

Colin sighed as he lay beneath Cormac. "I'm just being stupid." He couldn't bring himself to look at Cormac.

"You know I love you, don't you?" Colin could see that familiar hint of self-doubt in Cormac's eyes, and cursed himself for putting it there.

"Yeah I know you do, love you too." He looked up into Cormac's eyes. "Just can't seem to help it you know. Just get jealous sometimes."

"Over Irish?" Cormac didn't really understand that one.

"Yes, over Irish," Colin sighed. "You don't see the way you are with him. And now you're dreaming about him too."

"And how am I with him?" Cormac frowned.

"It's the way you look at him" Of course, Colin didn't mention it was only when Cormac was completely pissed that he looked at Seamus like he would like nothing more than to press him against the wall and thrust against him for a few hours - or at least until he passed out. Though, Cormac would look at anyone that way when he was that pissed.

"Fuck Colin ... what do you want me to say?"

"I don't know. I told you, I'm just being stupid."

"You are so difficult some times." Cormac teased gently. He leaned down and kissed Cormac softly, brushing the hair from his eyes.

"Well," Cormac kissed Colin again, "you are," he kissed him again, "the only" and again, a bit deeper this time, "man I want," and again, nipping his lower lip gently, "in my bed, each night. Seamus may be cute," Cormac could feel Colin bristle beneath him, "but he's too uptight. And why would I want someone like him when you're mine?" Cormac growled before he claimed Colin's mouth again.

Colin relaxed against Cormac, parting his lips, letting Cormac thrust his tongue forward. Colin sighed into Cormac's mouth pressing towards him again.

"You are so silly," Cormac whispered huskily against Colin's lips as he pulled Colin closer, his hands pressed flat against his back holding him close.

"Can't help it," Colin breathed.

Cormac kissed Colin fiercely, gripping his hair in one hand and growling against his lips. "I'm sure you can't, baby."

Colin rolled his hips against Cormac's, his need and desire rising once more as Cormac held him close. Then suddenly, before Colin could react, Cormac gripped his hips and rolled him onto his side, so that his back pressed against Cormac's chest once more. Cormac gripped Colin's hips pulling him back to grind his own hips forward against him.

Colin groaned, rocking back against Cormac as he leaned forward to worry his teeth over the smooth skin of Colin's neck, then soothing his tongue over the abused skin a moment later.

Colin sighed feeling the mark rise on his skin and arched his back pressing his hips back against Cormac's harder.

"Just you, baby," Cormac murmured against his skin. "Only want you."
