I was talking with my friend tonight about the characters I play in different rpgs, and he told me how different all my characters are, even down to the two Colin Creevey's I play. So I asked him to just tell me a few of the differences he saw between the two.
I: mmhmm I remember your explanation lol
anyway, this is really nice so far :) every character you do seems so unique and different
even the 2 colins
me: yeah, i really did try to make the 2 Colins different
I: it showed from the very beginning, and has gotten even more pronounced
me: what do you think the differences between the 2 are, if you don't mind my asking?
I: oh geez now you're putting me on the spot heh
me: lol yup
I: the bd Colin is much more mature and sure of himself, for starters
not brash or anything, but confident. business-owner, looking after his brother, etc.
the other colin is sort of agog at the world and full of wonderment a lot of the time
even when angsty, you can tell it's more of a surface thing for him, a layer on top of a
general optimism and ebullience about life
bd Colin's not world-weary or anything, but he's got a brooding side, though he obviously
loves simple pleasures of the flesh as much as the stoats counterpart
stoats colin is centered, but can be flighty. he loves himself and the idea of being part of a
family
bd colin thinks of family as being a heavy responsibility and doesn't love himself quite so
much
It just makes me so happy to see that the things I wanted in my characters show up enough that someone other than me can pick them out. And so I had to be squeeful and dorky and let you all see it too.
