Here's camp:
On the last night during worship service it was amazing because I felt God pulling at my heart. He told me to get our class together, and He kept telling me. I honestly didn't know if it was Him or not, because sometimes it is hard to distinguish a voice which resumes in the back of your mind that is barely audible between yours and God's (if you're a Christian then you probably know what I'm talking about). But I felt strongly about it, and so I did. The minute I got everyone together, and I started crying, I realized how fallen apart we'd become. I confessed to them my feelings and began to cry. I knew they felt the same, but there's been so much crap lately. The last time we prayed together... well it was way back when. So when I got them together, and said all that, they felt the same. Eventually more than just me was crying and praying their feelings and requests for the better of our Sunday School class. You don't know how much you need your Sunday School Class until you don't have one anymore. But we're working on it. again. But this time, with God.
-Our Sunday School class is now good because God moved us in an awesome way
-I got a tan
-I have learned more of exactly what faith is... and I love it.
-I love God
-According to the band Buckler I can "break it down" well.
-Ross and Jesse and Ryan are all very great to talk to about theology and philosophy and I love them greatly
-I found out that when I am gone, my mother makes the worst foods ever.
- I really don't get the whole phrase 'Get 'er done.', but it's one of my new favorite sayings. Because when Southern people say it it's hilarious. It makes my day. It spices my salsa.
-It's good to have friends that can cook
-Our cabin will always be the messiest
-I'm lazy, but I have OCD when it comes to cleaning.
-Sunburn can make you really sick and you can fall asleep in someone else's bed and they will get really pissed because you will always fall asleep in the person's bed who can't stand to share their bed.
-Laura now has a picture of me in a towel eating pringles.
-Lake water is nasty. but being in a boat out on the lake is one of the few relaxing things about life down here.
-Music is good to me.
-God is the only thing that's true. I have many good things, but God is the best thing I could have. and I'm not ashamed to say it.
-I broke my promise of no swurring once. I felt awful, but I didn't and won't do it anymore. I thought I'd be honest and say that. Just so you see that no Christian is perfect, despite what you might think.
-It is really hard to find signal on your cell phone in Elkmont.
-When you find signal in Elkmont, you find yourself in odd positions trying to keep signal. People walking past you will see this and think you're nuts. Go with it.
-No one outside of Outback retreat really knows where Elkmont is.
-There is hardly anything out in Elkmont
-There are so many more stars than you can ever imagine. Out at camp, they even twinkle, and it is gorgeous.
-The sky is a lot bigger than you think it is.
-Chocolate is a good thing.
-Mike was the speaker. Mike is a good man
-Don't point your finger at Mark, he'll lick it.
-I look like a movie star with my hair back and sunglasses on (said about half of the camp)
-I can wear a 5 in pants. This means I have gone down five pants sizes since I last bought clothes.
-I have friends. and they are wonderful beings.
-Hickball is retarded.
-Swimming isn't swimming unless someone gets thrown in [mainly me]
-If you go down to the pool and don't expect to swim... you're retarded. Because they'll make you swim.
-Don't pay 15 dollars for horseback riding that you're not going to do.
-If you hang around people with Southern accents long enough, you'll start to talk like them.
-People will bring technology to camp whether you want them to or not.
-Three meals is too much to eat. but there is always room for an ice cream sundae.
-Our Sunday School class will never keep on one topic, no matter how hard we try.
-We (^SSC^^) are "very emotional" according to Rachael.
-You can never love two people the exact same. ever.
-Josh only does three songs for worship. Exactly three songs.
-God is amazing in every way and He shows you His glory through the most unexpected things. Now that I look back on camp, it truly was amazing. Even if there was too much PMS going on.
