Friday (February 2): I went to class then came back and Amanda met me at the apartment. We had back to my house in So. Illinois because I had to do a couple things at the bank then we headed south to Memphis. We stopped at a gas station on the way down there to fill up before heading the FedEx Forum. We got there a little before Josh Rouse went on and found our seats down on the floor. 2nd row. Josh Rouse was excellent. John came on and he pretty much owned. We totally had a couple moments! When I was video taping him, he kept starring at me. I bought a Mayer poster and got the merch lady to sell the only Rouse poster on display to me. I can't wait to see him again on the 16th. We made our way back home and stopped off at several exits because several billboards were wrong in saying that a 24 hour Subway was open. We finally found the 24 hour Subway, got food and gas and got home by 4am.
Saturday (February 3): We had to get up at 6am after getting in at 4 to head to St. Louis for a movie screening I had to go to for The Astronaut Farmer - it was okay, but I would wait til it comes out on video instead of going to see it at the theatre. Afterwards, me, Amanda, my parents, my brother and his girlfriend went to my favorite place of all time to eat - Chipotle. We went to the mall after that then headed home. We got home then Amanda and I headed to my aunt's, so she could help me with writing some press releases for my writing for public relations class. We came home, ate supper, watched Breakfast Club on tv then went to bed.
Sunday (February 4): I slept in, ate pancakes, sat around, ate lunch then Amanda and I headed back to St. Louis after I took food and stuff out to my pup. I came back to the apartment and started writing my PR speech.
Monday (February 5): I went to class then came back and got more of my PR speech done. That night I had a screening for Music & Lyrics a the Tivoli. It snowed a bunch and accumulated in a matter of hours. The roads were kind of bad, but not too bad. I came back and did some more homework.
Tuesday (February 6): I went to class, finished my PR speech, went to my PR night class, came back and had some delicious tomato soup. My friend Jess called and I talked about or visual communications (graphic design class) and she offered to put the new Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) on my ibook because I had 2 projects (one for my vis comm class and the other for my production tools class) that were due the next day. I got the vis comm homework done, but I was up until 5 am doing my production tools assignment.
Today I was a complete zombie. I only got 4 hours of sleep and my Wednesdays are always packed with classes. I went to my morning classes then came home to find that a text from Jess saying that our Vis comm class was cancelled because the professor was sick. I got to rest up before my night class which was good. I came back from my night class, did some cleaning and now I am laying low catching up on Grey's before tomorrow night.
I can't wait til this weekend. Obama in Springfield and Ben Kweller in Columbia then the Shins on Sunday. Woot.
