My Ma!
I'm very excited because my mother is coming over to stay with me tomorrow and help move me back home. We're going out Thursday after
my class for her birthday, and she's helping me pack my stuff up during my Friday class. I have class all day, so I'm very thankful.
My mother is THE most awesome person I know. She is Bad Ass. When I was in high school, she worked three part-time jobs and went to community college for her accounting degree. When I was a kid, she managed our money so that we really lived well even though we were below the poverty line.
When she was in high school her boyfriend didn't want to take her to prom, and she told them that if he didn't want to go with her, then she'd go with some other guy. He didn't believe her, and guess what? She went and asked her older brother's friend, who took her to prom and they both had a great time. Of course, when her boyfriend found out, he freaked out and they broke up. Mom never regretted it.
When she was fourteen, her mother hit her over the head with a cake pan. My mom yanked it out of my grandmother's hand and smacked her across her own head.
So yeah, my mom rocks.
