"I've gotta get outta here!" her voice was sweet and clear and it hung on the word 'I've', calling it out from the stage over the hundreds of seats in front of her, despite the fact that they were empty. "It's like I'm being tied to the hood of a yellow rental truck - being packed in with fertilizer! And fuel oil - pushed over a cliff - by a suicidal Mickey Mouse!!" she continued singing, annoucing the crazy lyrics with force, her eyes closed as she held her hands to her chest, clasping them as she lost herself in her own moment. Her voice was almost misty, perfect for the slightly unbalanced character of Maureen in RENT even though the girl before him greatly perfered the character of Mimi. The movie was in the theatres at the moment, so everyone in the class was captured by it besides two of their class who just couldn't stand it.
"Find a way, to jump over the moon...Only thing to do is jump over the moon..." she continued to sing, softer now after her outbust. He found himself mouthing the backup without even really noticing because it had all been second nature to sing any and all parts from that musical, it was all they had all been doing for the past month after all. "Leap of faith, leap of faith...Leap of faith, leap of faith..."

He leant against the desk which was just offstage, careful not to move the props at all which lay there. The techies and stage manager could get quite crabby if you moved anything even an inch for the simple fact that he had no reason to even be there. He had been sent there though, to collect Tahla who was due for the workshop she ran for the year sevens of their school, so he did have a reason to be there, kinda. For now though, he just remained silent to watch her. She usually never sung, letting another member of their group (April) earn all of the main singing roles when they performed a musical, she was just always too self concious to have such a role and she prefered pure acting roles which was where her stengths lay, she always explained. Watching her though, Salvator was starting to disagree with her. She wasn't that bad a-
"What are you doing here!?" Tahla had stopped singing while he had been lost in his own thoughts and had spied him, and was now stalking towards him angrilly, a red blush over her cheeks.
"...You're late for your tute of the kids..." he replied after a stretch of silence, looking away as she glared him down, furious along with her embarrasment at being heard.
She brushed past him pointedly, remaining silent as she stalked off, not even making a sound in her socked feet.
"I don't think you know yourself!" he called after her. "You can actually sing!"
She didn't reply though, and he had never expected her to.
