Well, that's one thing that can be counted on anyway. But it's lame to count on things isn't it? In fact, that's one of the most common mistakes in my life, and I'm not even that bad at it by comparison.
We look all around us for strength, and take for granted the stuff that gives it to us until it suddenly stops producing. New sources spring us into action, and then we crash when the balance of power is normalized. We'll always lose what isn't ours, what we're not worthy of. Before it's lost, it's already been paid for in cash or credit.
With the basketball season over with (for my purposes), I'm finding it a good time to re-group. I'm suprised both at how much I don't care right now, and how much I was into it just a few days before. There just wasn't a whole lot going on, so I gambled all my emotions on a team that I happened to really like. It happens all the time, though it usually goes over my head.
Anyway, it's refreshing to wake up to the world again.
