"Vibe" or "Vibes"
Yes, the word vibe, and especially "vibes" just do it for me.
Especially after reading the Big Star band history. Alex Chilton, when he was a member of the Box Tops, and riding the success of that oldies hit, "The Letter" was hanging out with that infamous Mr. Manson (Who later viciously slaughtered more than a few people) character and some members of the Beach Boys one night. Manson had brought over a harem/entourage, and they sent Alex to the store to get everyone some groceries, and when he got back there was a huge scene created by some of the women with Manson & he himself because Alex forgot to get milk. And so in memory of this happening, Alex was quoted as saying, "That's around the time we stopped hanging out with Manson, I was telling Ron these are some really strange vibes".
And perhaps my second favorite word is an alternative to "vibes", and that's "flows".
