Author's Note: I read a little Shannon/Sawyer fic that promted me to write this. Basecailly Sawyer and Shannon are somewhat of an item but then he kisses Kate which makes Shannon leave him. It ends with her walking away and him realizing that he lost the best thing he had on the island. So I decided to write what his thoughts were after she left.
Kissed Freckles and drove ‘way the best thing I had on this craphole Island. Don’t even know why I did it either, should’ve seen this one comin’ but it wasn’t my sort of thing, it wasn’t what I did. Didn’t do the whole romance thing, sure did romance the girls but for my own personal gain. But Sticks seemed to spark a certain pleasure in me, spit fire right back at me. Little princess always wanted things her way and hell be frozen over if she didn’t get it.
Regret tellin’ her what I told her once, told her even if I wanted to love her I wouldn’t, wasn’t what I did. Plain and simple, didn’t need anyone but myself. Guess that’s why I kissed Freckles, not cause I wanted to, made it seem like that though. But really cause I didn’t want to admit to my feelings. I needed something to fall back on, not ready to commit to anything. Though you could say havin’ sticks ‘round like I did I was giving off that impression.
I should’ve gone after her when she walked away. But like I said that wasn’t my sort of thing, won’t do any casing ‘round here. Planted my own bullet you could say. Loaded it up and she shot it at me.
