Happy Memorial Day Everyone
Something like six months ago a good friend of mine was killed in Iraq. He was 25. He liked to read the same webcomics as I did and we met in several forums. He went by "Wysteria." Because his girlfriend loved Desperate Housewives.
We exchanged emails. He was a great writer, we did a little roleplaying, but most of the fun was in the OOC conversations. He'd talk about what it was like to be in a war, but mostly he liked to be distracted. It was fun.
He vanished suddenly.
I got news a month later from his girlfriend that he'd been killed, and she just wanted to let me know, since we seemed to be so close.
