A Fish

In the Second Scroll of Wen the Eternally Surprised, a story is written concerning one day when they apprentice Clodpool, in a rebellious mood, approached Wen and spake thusly:
"Master, what is the difference between a humanistic, monastic system of belief in which wisdom is sought by means of an apparently nonsensical system of questions and answers, and a lot of mystic gibberish made up on the spur of the moment?"
Wen considered this for some time, and at last said: "A fish!"
And Clodpool went away, satisfied.

Day 173, I painted my nails, put newsprint on them, and then took a picture of them with a piece of newspaper in my hand. It was fun!

Two mirrors, a belt, and a paper lamp and somehow it was the best shoot in a while. I'm running out of days of my free trial of Lightroom, and I've just discovered a new function which makes things look exactly how I wanted them to.
Damn.
I'm seriously considering buying it. Except for the fact it costs $300. I know that I've got a genuine, full-time job now, and I could, considering how much I use it. But... but... but...

Day 175, which I hate. It's Thai food. My dinner. I photographed my dinner. Ugh. It's such a stupid cliche thing. No one cares what you're having for dinner! *facepalm* I don't know, I was running out of ideas.

Cook and her sister were huge opera fans who, under the cover of being opera groupies, snuck in and out of Germany before WWII to smuggle the valuables of Jewish families to safety. Later, Cook began writing Mills & Boon novels to fund their activities, and helped 29 people escape the Nazis.
