[ It's a beautiful day in Somarium when the incident happens. Sasuke was returning home from getting groceries, and a loaf of bread decided it was not ready to be the nights supper. [ And Itachi was out of his apartment like a shot, throwing his coat on as he jumped right off of the balcony from his apartment. Two large crows took off after him, one zooming right past him and towards Espoir. ]

[ It was the crow that would arrive their first. The crow Hugin landed right atop one of the grocery bags, staring at the tiny three-year-old that was in the pile of clothes. He made a noise at Sasuke to distract the child from his crying. ]

Aniki!! [ The young boys voice is bordering a hysterical scream. He holds up his hands for his older brother, the cloth of Sasuke's shirt clinging to his small arms and hands so he looks like a sheet ghost in blue. ]

[ Well. Itachi bends down, scooping the three-year-old up with ease, looking him over. ...This was Sasuke... he was so small... when... when he was this age, Itachi was nine! He was graduating from the academy! ]

[ The boy's still crying but as Itachi bounces him the crying starts to die down and he looks at his brother. He blinks a bit to clear his tear blurred vision. There's a pause. His brother looks older, and he doesn't remember being this tall in Itachi's arms, but who else would call him that? He says nothing for a few moments before wrapping his small arms around what he can of his brother neck and burying his face into Itachi. ]

Aniki!! [ There's a small hiccuping noise and another small whimper that come from the child as he slowly calms down. ]

[ He was worried for a moment that Sasuke would reject him due to the age gap... however, perhaps somewhere inside the little toddler, he knew that Itachi was indeed his brother. Itachi just held the little boy to him, allowing Sasuke to calm down before saying anything. ]

...Hm... otouto... already getting into trouble. [ Itachi pulled the little boy away a touch, looking down into his large black eyes with his own red ones. He wasn't worried that Sasuke would be scared by them--he figured there would be some kind of genetic attraction to the scarlet color within their eyes. ]

[ Sasuke pulled away from Itachi to protest, but then he was distracted by the color of Itachi's eyes. ]

Aniki why are your eyes red? [ His voice sounded a little stuffy from all the crying. ]
