Someone mind telling me what the hell this song reminds me of?!!?!?!?!

thanks, hotties

ETA>>> Crissakes, just download it already, it's like a minute long! I think it's kind of a cross between the music from that one course on Sonic the Hedgehog for Sega Genesis where you're in a pinball game that looks like a city at night... and something else, but I can't figure it out. Some sort of theme music. Please help me before my brain fries and displays the blue screen of doom. That'd just wreak hell on my already seriously-challenged complexion.

Also, because I have recently found myself in possession of a large body of ridiculously excellent Scottish music, I have decided to go YSI-crazy and pass them on to you. (Except for Alex! Don't download anything, I'm making you a mix so... nyah. Unless you don't care about having some songs twice.)

First up are Arab Strap for they are the mother effing shit. I particularily like the aptly-titled Dream Sequence which manages to make repetition anything but monotonous thanks to its scarily-high level of catchiness, and Stink is a caustic little tale of love and prostitution. Finally, Love Detective is like a darker "Your Diary" that turns talking into an art form. The accent might give you a little trouble, but you'll get over it. Interesting that they appear to be named after Belle & Sebastian, yet sound absolutely nothing like them. It's odd but I won't complain. They sorta remind me a bit of the Magnetic Fields and She Wants Revenge, though I'm not exactly sure why...

Also, I found I really like the Camera Obscura (www.myspace.com/cameraobscura). They actually sound like B&S (their singer definitely reminds me of Isobel Campbell) so if you're into all that twee pop crap, you'll likely adore them as much as I do. They sound like something out of Napoleon Dynamite set on a California beach in the 1960s. Try Tears for Affairs and Lloyd, I'm Ready to be Heartbroken. They'll make you smile, honest.

Speaking of Isobel Campbell, here's the cover of Hank William's Ramblin' Man she made with Mark Lanegan. Kind of freaky, but I like the strangeness of it.

And finally, because you're not tired of me yet... in honor of the Pro Forma breaking up a little while ago (RIP guys) I'm going to be posting a handful of their songs so you can have all the electroindie that your heart desires...

Metroshuffle is one of my absolute favorites.
Lips
Flextone
Ist Schon
Human Error (Love the bass. And sounds like Dayle is making his cricket noise at one point, haha.)
Cracked Machine is just funky.

All these links will expire in seven days. If you want me to re-upload one of them, just let me know.

Also... if anyone has anything by:

The Fall
The Cramps
Josef K
The Rakes
The Editors
The Kills
Orange Juice
The Futureheads
Mates of State
Monochrome Set
The Fire Engines
The Blood Arm
Park Attack
Belle and Sebastian (Anything but "The Boy With the Arab Strap")
Sons and Daughters
Neutral Milk Hotel
Pulp
Dead Famous People
Silver Apples
The Buzzcocks
KT Tunstall
The Tiger Lilies
The Sex Pistols (Haha, I know. Shut up, I'm sheltered!)

I will trade you something fun! Limewire completely commandeered my laptop and so I'm not wanting to use it anymore or try using a similar program. They're just too sneaky for my liking. But I have a list about a mile long of bands I've heard are really excellent and it'd be nice to be able to preview them a bit before I actually spend money on a CD. You know how it is.
