Friday night with co-workers
Went out with some co-workers tonight. We stopped and had a beer and a bump at some college bar. I made it a Guiness and an Irish Car Bomb. That put me in a pretty easy going sort of mood. My inner social coward went and hid while I became the socialite that only curdled Baily's could make me. We then at at some local Indian greasy spoon type restaurant. I ate like a quarter of my meal by the time we got done with the apatizers (however you spell that), which was probably a good thing. I don't know how good I would have felt if I had eaten my entire dish of Vindaloo Lamb. I think my lower intestine would have gotten into a fight with my kidneys...either way, it wouldn't have been pretty. Tasty stuff, though. Then, of course, we had to take advantage of the local coffee shop and get some espresso drinks. Iced Americano is my current drink of choice.
On the drive back home, I felt like I was in high school again because my friend and his girlfriend were taking advantage of the spacious backseat that my car has...necking and such. It didn't last long, though, cause, triple shot of espresso or not, they were asleep in less than 10 minutes. I couldn't believe it, I was even listening to Offspring. People, these days, can't even stay awake to make out in the back seat of a moving car. I think we're getting old.
