the oscahs
the oscars just ended, and i have a few very brief observations.
1. jon stewart didn't bomb like everyone said he would. the "martin scorcese: 0" comment was brilliant. i love that guy.
2. the face jake gyllenhaal made after reading that terrible joke was adorable.
3. i cannot believe crash won best picture, i thought that movie blowed goats. i have proof.
4. playing music while people are doing their acceptance speech is bad enough when they cut them off, but now they play music throughout the entire speech?? jesus. leave them alone, already.
5. ben stiller in green unitard = fantastic.
6. will ferrell and steve carell in ridiculous makeup = SUPER fantastic.
7. seeing jon stewart and jake gyllenhaal run towards each other and hug as soon as the credits start rolling = SUPER FUCKING FANTASTIC. hell yes i want to be the filling in that sandwich.
8. still can't believe the crash thing. i really, really hated that movie. and i really, really loved brokeback mountain. damn.
9. ang lee is so adorable, i can't stand it. he's the one person i didn't mind hearing "i can't quit you" from. and no one laughed! aw!
10. matt dillon makes this weird ape face when he's listening to people talk onstage. it was hilarious. as soon as i find a screencap it's going up here :D
