I finished a baby blanket! And I have another one in progress! Because apparently all I knit anymore are baby blankets! LOL. I wish my friends would stop being so damn fertile for 3 seconds so I could make a pair of gloves or something.
ANYWAY.
I love this blanket. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. It's for my high school BFF, who is having her first baby in a few weeks! She never found out if it's a boy or girl, so I had to make something unisex.
I started this in mid-June, and I finished it a couple of weeks ago. It came with me to Hawaii, NYC, and wherever else I happened to be going.
Pattern:
Multi-Directional Scarf (I made 5 of these and sewed them together with an I-Cord border)
Yarn: Kauni Effektgarn 8/2
LOOK HOW PRETTY!!!! This yarn is SO fantastic, it's well worth the ($12/skein) price tag!
I-cord edging:
And my newest baby blanket...an eyelet blanket for a (very traditional, conservative) coworker who's having a girl in December.
Pattern:
DROPS Design b13-22Yarn: Knit Picks Comfort in Honeydew
As you can see, this yarn photographs CRAZY, but in real life it's a muted, pale green. The eyelets form little tiny flowers. Eventually it will have a white ruffly border around it.
It's amazing how different these two blankets are haha. I still have one more to make by the end of the year.
