Awesome Things:

1. Seeing OotP on the IMAX with Drennen. 3-D Ministry of Magic scenes = FTW.

2. Drennen showing up at my house with a random gift:

HOW COOL IS THAT!? He just showed up with it randomly and I was v. surprised.

3. Life on Mars

4. The Life on Mars soundtrack, which is pure Classic Rock looove.

5. grrliz wrote a very nice entry about What you can do to prevent DH spoilers.

6. Clapotis.

Here is the closeup of what it looks like once you can drop the stitches. That's the fun part.

7. I saw my Dad yesterday for the first time in 10 months.

8. Stephen Fry's reading of HBP. I had never heard the Stephen Fry HP audiobooks until a few days ago, and I can tell you that Fry >>> Dale. I never really had too much of a problem with Jim Dale, but upon hearing Stephen Fry's version, I prefer it...A LOT. No stupid silly voices! Huzzah!

9. ONLY 5 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!

Not So Awesome Things:

1. Getting a ticket for having an expired registration when you didn't even realize your registration had expired. Especially when you have no money to pay for the ticket OR the registration.

2. People in real life repeatedly telling me that Deathly Hallows is "just a book," and that I'm ridiculous for wanting to read it all in one sitting, and that "it will be there the next day."

*DOES NOT COMPUTE*

3. ONLY 5 MORE DAYS ;____;

I know a lot of people on my f-list are going into DH-related radio silence, but I'm not doing anything like that...yet. If I feel like I really could get spoiled I'll avoid the internets, but I've safeguarded myself pretty well, I think. I may just go friends-only for a few days or something.

I just can't believe it's almost here!!! It's so happy and sad at the same time! I've been part of this fandom for the better part of 8 years. It's just so bizarre to think that in a few days' time all of our theories and crazy discussions and the wank and the shipping wars and ALL of that will be over and done with. *bawls*
